Treat the Family

Treat the family (Small)Stem cells, by nature, are derived from DNA and your family all share similar DNA, which helps match frozen cells to family members.

Red blood cells left in the stem cell sample can cause complications when transplanted into a family member who does not have the same blood type. Haemo Freezing alleviates this problem by removing these cells at an early stage in the process. Otherwise receiving a stem cells transplant would be like getting a blood transfusion of the wrong blood type.

Stem cells  from a family memeber are always more likley to have a better match percentage.

Save for the Future

Stem Cell 4 (Large) (Small)Research is currently one of the most conducted research topics worldwide. Cord Blood currently treats over 85 conditions with many more being trialled. Cord Tissue is in final trials stages for a number of degenerative conditions.

Cancer incidence rates in Great Britain have risen by 23% in males and by 43% in females since the mid-1970s. This is partly due to better Cancer detection technology but even accounting for this, the rise is very dramatic. In the next 25 years who knows what this figure will rise to, could we soon be at a point where cancer rates are 1 in 1.5? The future will always be uncertain which is why we think it’s always best to prepare for the worst, and should the unthinkable occur, you are in the best position.

Simple, Risk-Free and Painless

Collecting your stem cells occurs after your baby is born. At the time of collection the umbilical cord has already been clamped and is no longer attached to the baby or the mother. This makes collection of your baby’s stem cells simple and Risk-free.

Historically, bone marrow cells (which are similar to the cells found in cord blood) are extracted from the hip or other joints and can result in a lot of pain for the donor, sometimes putting them out of work for a period of time. In a stark contrast to this, Haemo Freezing is completely painless. Collection is completed by a trained professional who will take the umbilical cord and placenta to another room for collection. In fact, most mothers don’t even realise that they’ve had the collection done.
